Eligibility for Insurance

Clients of Direct Line Cruises (U.S. residents only) are eligible to purchase the insurance for cruise vacations up to 30 days.  A separate plan is available for cruise vacations over 30 days (details will be provided upon request).  *NOTE:  Clients who reside in Canada or any other country outside of the United States are not able to purchase insurance through Travel Insured. You can either obtain a quote on their behalf directly from the cruise line or direct them to a 3rd party carrier. If the client chooses to purchase insurance from the cruise line directly, they must be aware of the cancellation terms. For most cruise line insurance policies, the client receives a cash refund if the cancellation is under a covered reason. If the cancellation is not for a covered reason, the client will receive a future cruise credit equivalent to 75-90% of the cancellation charges. Most cruise line insurance companies and Travel Insured International provide an alternate insurance plan for Canadian residents, however you must advise the client to call the insurance company directly for policy details and rates.

The Plan can be purchased any time up to the day before the client’s cruise vacation begins.
